- Change thermostat batteries yearly
- Keep leaves and mulch away from air conditioner
- Keep plants, shrubs and ornamental grass away from air conditioner
- Do not store or stack anything on top of or directly beside air conditioner
- Have air conditioner maintenance performed by a professional yearly
